In 1949, Dalian Medical University became part of Dalian University and was designated as the Medical School of Dalian University. Situated on South Lushun Road in Dalian, Liaoning Province, it gained independence from Dalian University the following year, 1950, and was renamed Dalian Medical School. Over time, it has evolved into a prominent medical university, distinguished for its focus on medical education while also fostering a diverse array of disciplines such as science, engineering, management, arts, law, and philosophy, among others.
